1. Setting up Location Permissions

PeaceWheel needs access to your location only while you are actively on a drive. To verify:

1. Open your iPhone Settings.
2. Scroll down to find PeaceWheel.
3. Tap Location and ensure it is set to "While Using the App".
4. Ensure Precise Location is turned on so crossing passes can be detected within 80 meters.

Note: PeaceWheel will never ask for "Always" location access. When a drive starts, iOS will display the standard blue background location indicator in the dynamic island / status bar.

2. Why didn't an encounter register when I waved?

For an encounter to log automatically:

• Both drivers must be actively in a Drive session within PeaceWheel.
• Both vehicles must pass within approximately 80 meters of each other within an 8-second window.
• To prevent wave spamming, repeated encounters between the same two drivers within a short cooldown window are grouped together.

3. Turning on Wave-Back Notifications

When you pass another driver, the encounter appears in your recents list. If you tap Wave Back, you will be notified once the other driver waves back.

• In PeaceWheel, tap the gear icon in the top right to open Settings.
• Under Notifications, tap "Get told when someone waves back".
• Allow notifications when prompted by iOS. PeaceWheel sends no marketing or spam alerts.

Road Safety & Reporting Abuse

PeaceWheel is engineered for passive, hands-free operation. Never operate the app while moving. Setup and drive conclusions should only be carried out while your vehicle is safely parked.

If you encounter inappropriate vehicle photos, offensive handles, or harassing behavior:

• Tap on the encounter from your Home or Encounters list.
• Tap the action menu (three dots) in the upper corner.
• Select Report to submit the encounter to our review queue.
• Select Block to permanently hide and mute all future interactions with that user.

How to Delete Your Account

You have complete control over your data. You can delete your PeaceWheel account at any time, with zero waiting period.

Option A: Delete Directly in the App (Instant)

1. Open the PeaceWheel app on your iPhone.
2. Tap the gear icon on the top right of the Home screen to open Settings.
3. Scroll down and tap Delete account (highlighted in red).
4. Confirm by tapping Delete my account.

What happens upon deletion: Your profile, display name, handle, vehicle configuration, vehicle photos, drive histories, waves, XP, and badges are permanently erased from our databases immediately. Any historical passes with other drivers will display only an anonymous vehicle description ("White JL Rubicon") with no personal data attached.

Option B: Web Request (If App is Uninstalled)

If you have already deleted the PeaceWheel app from your device and wish to purge your backend account data:

1. Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line Account Deletion Request.
2. Provide your Apple relay email or the nickname/handle associated with your account.
3. Our team will verify the request and permanently delete your account within 48 hours.
